Point Edward is a very small community bordering Sarnia. The Point Edward Charity Casino which is located approximately ten blocks from downtown Sarnia, and within view of the Bluewater Bridge, opened to the public on April 20, 2000. From Monday through Wednesday, its hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. From Thursday on, Point Edward Casino is open continuously.

The nautical theme of the casino emphasizes the fact that Point Edward is located on the east bank of the St. Clair River. A submarine-like aluminum exterior represents a wave, while the indoor saltwater aquarium, glass bridge, and replica of a ship's hull continue the underwater fantasy motif.

Point Edward follows the blueprint of the other provincial charity casinos. It has 452 slot machines, ranging in denomination from nickel to five dollar machines. There are 37 tables; games include Caribbean Stud Poker, Blackjack, Let it Ride, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette, Bonus Let It Ride. The Poker Room has four tables that are dedicated to Texas Hold 'Em; hours of operation are Mon-Wed 9am-4am and from Thursday to Sunday the room is open continuously. Reservations can be made 90 minutes in advance. The Winner's Circle is the player's card and is the same card used at all provincial charity and racetrack casinos.
